[00:05:52] Good morning. [00:05:56] Minus the guitar this morning. I thought my ministry this morning was going to be on Panasonic. Fn equals screens. [00:06:06] Good morning. I know. Time's galloping on. Let's pray. [00:06:10] Holy Spirit, we thank you. [00:06:15] The promise of the Father sent in the name of Jesus. You are here in our midst. Holy Spirit, teach us this morning. [00:06:26] Open our ears, open our hearts, release us from religious thinking. [00:06:34] Bring us into the abundant life that Jesus has. [00:06:39] Take all that is the Lord's and make it known to us this morning, bit by bit, in Jesus name. Amen. Amen. I want to talk about the Holy Spirit this morning, about the baptism of the Holy Spirit, about speaking in tongues and other gifts of the spirit. [00:06:59] I know sometimes this may raise a lot of questions with some of you. And so what I'd like you to do is read the first ten chapters of the book of acts and chapter 19 as well. Then one corinthians 1213 and 14. Do that many times over and let the Holy Spirit teach you. [00:07:20] And then if you've got any questions, you come and ask me. [00:07:23] And I'm by the Holy Spirit, I will teach you. [00:07:27] Because the gift of the Holy Spirit's wonderful. The Holy Spirit's wonderful. [00:07:35] The Bible says, please don't be ignorant of the Holy Spirit. [00:07:40] The Bible says, desire spiritual gifts. What do you desire this morning? [00:07:47] What's in the core of you? I desire this. [00:07:51] What does desire mean? It means to long for. To crave. [00:07:56] Anybody been past a fish and chip shop when you're a bit hungry and then suddenly you smell the chips, what happens? I desire chips. [00:08:08] Now, I also got to repent this morning of the big sign m McDonald's. [00:08:16] Every time I drive past McDonald's, I thought I'd have a McDonald's. And then I repent every time I've had a McDonald's. Now, just moving on. [00:08:26] The Holy Spirit has many titles. [00:08:30] He's called the Spirit of the Lord, the Spirit of Jesus, the spirit of God. In the book of Revelation, he's referred to as the seven spirits who are before the throne of God. That's the description Isaiah gives him. Chapter eleven of Isaiah, Jesus says, the Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth, the counselor, the comfort, the teacher, the guide, the one who convicts of righteousness and judgment, and the one who gives you power. [00:08:58] The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. [00:09:02] He has emotions. You can grieve him, you can quench him. You can ignore him this morning, you can rebel against him. [00:09:12] The Holy Spirit has gifts as part of who he is. What he does. [00:09:17] He gives tongues, interpretation of tongues. He gives prophecy, gives word of knowledge, word of wisdom, discerning of spirits, gift of faith, working of miracles. It's great, isn't it? He's a wonderful, wonderful person. [00:09:35] The working of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. In one corinthians, chapter twelve, the Holy Spirit's described like a reflection of the Trinity. He's described as the spirit, as lord, and as God. It's a beautiful description of who he is. [00:09:53] Let there be no doubt that the Holy Spirit is God. [00:09:57] Sometimes he's the forgotten person of the Trinity. [00:10:00] But what did Jesus say about him? [00:10:04] Jesus says in John 16, verse seven, a remarkable thing said nevertheless. I tell you the truth. It's to your advantage that I go away. If I do not go away, Jesus said, the Holy Spirit, the helper, he will not come. [00:10:23] But if I depart, I will send him to you. He is called the promise of the Father. [00:10:31] Jesus was baptized in the Holy Spirit before he did any earthly ministry. Come on. Says in acts ten, verse 38, how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good, healing all those who were oppressed by the delta. God was with him. [00:10:48] The Holy Spirit's here. He's going to do the same thing. [00:10:52] He's upon me. He's here. Why? [00:10:56] To release you. Because the Holy Spirit brings power. That's who he is. [00:11:04] Hallelujah. After the resurrection in acts chapter two, about 120 people all gathered together in a room. Jesus said, go and wait for the promise. They really didn't quite know what was going to happen, but they all gathered together, 120 of them. [00:11:23] Acts two, verse one. It's recorded when the day of Pentecost had fully come. They were all with one accord, in one place, as suddenly there came a sound from heaven as a rushing, mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting, there. Then there appeared to them divided tongues as a fire. And one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues. Everyone, say all. [00:11:52] No. Say it again. Like me, all. [00:11:55] No exceptions. [00:11:57] It's really interesting what the Bible then does. [00:12:01] They were all filled with the spirit. Think about it. Get your imaginations going. James was filled. John was filled. Peter was filled. Andrew was filled. All the apostles were filled. All the Lord's family were filled. Lord loves families. Get them all at once. [00:12:18] Mary, the mother of Jesus, she was speaking in tongues. Think about it. The Bible puts it in Mary, the mother of Jesus, with all the women. [00:12:31] I guess Lazarus was there. [00:12:34] Martha, Mary were there, Stephen was there, Philip was there. They all were filled with the Holy Spirit. [00:12:43] What an amazing beginning. [00:12:47] They all speak with tongues. Amazing. [00:12:54] It birthed the church. [00:12:58] What happened after that? Then persecution started, trouble started. [00:13:05] And there was a guy called Philip in acts chapter eight. [00:13:11] And he went down to the city of Samaria. [00:13:15] And I'll read that he went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them and the multitude with one accord, heeding the things spoken by Philip. Hearing and seeing miracles which he did for unclean spirits. Crying out with a loud voice came out of many who were possessed. And many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. And there was great joy in the city. [00:13:41] Oh my goodness me. I love it when I see a miracle man. I've seen some demons come out and it's great joy. God, I remember a woman in Miami. She came up to me really depressed. And I said, what can Jesus do for you? And she looked at me, very pretty woman. And all of a sudden demon started talking to me. [00:14:06] I looked at her, I said, get out. In Jesus name, the Holy Spirit. She went flinging to the side. Anyway, I carried on ministering. [00:14:18] About an hour later she came up and her face was glowing like an angel. She said, it's gone. [00:14:26] It's gone. The depression is gone. [00:14:30] The depression has gone. What's the Bible called? The spirit of heaviness. We don't want those spirits around here. We have joy. [00:14:39] And in verse twelve. And when they believed Peter as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, men and women, they're all baptized. Wonderful. Let me ask you a question here. Think about it. Do you think the people who believed in the name of Jesus Christ and were baptized. Hands up if you think they were Christians. [00:15:04] Oh, not sure. So they believed, they saw miracles. [00:15:09] They believed on the name of Jesus Christ and they were baptized. Do you think they're Christians? Why put you. [00:15:17] Okay, so they're Christian. We agree they're christian. [00:15:22] Now when the apostles heard about this and it was about 60 miles away, city of Samaria is about 60 miles from Jerusalem. About a four or five day walk. When they heard this, Peter and John went down to city of Samaria. [00:15:42] Why on earth would they do that? [00:15:45] There were miracles. [00:15:48] There were amazing things happening. Did they go for more miracles? No. [00:15:53] Did Peter and John go to cast out more demons? No. Why did they go to the city of Samaria? [00:16:02] Verse, chapter eight, verse 15. [00:16:05] And when they had come down they prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. This is about ten days after these people had been baptized, for as it yet had not fallen upon none of them, for they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And they laid hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit. Wow. [00:16:32] What a meeting. [00:16:34] This was a citywide crusade. There would have been hundreds and hundreds, if not thousands of people being baptized in the Holy Spirit about a week or ten days after they've been became christians. [00:16:50] He's wonderful. [00:16:52] Are you hungry this morning? [00:16:55] I've learned one thing in life. If you ain't hungry, you don't enjoy the food. [00:17:01] Are you really hungry for the Lord? This morning Jesus said, if you hunger and thirst, you'll be filled. If you think you're full already, you won't get anything. [00:17:10] Simple as that. What do you want? [00:17:14] Blind man came to Jesus. [00:17:18] Jesus said to him, what do you want? [00:17:22] The blind man didn't say, take a lucky guess. [00:17:29] Comes up. Take a lucky guess. No, sorry, I shouldn't have moved. Lucky. But why did Jesus say that? He said, what do you want? Come on. What do you want? [00:17:40] If you want the Holy Spirit, you ask if you don't want him. You don't ask if you think you're hungry. Full already. You won't receive. [00:17:52] But we're hungry this morning, aren't we, saints? I'm hungry for the things of the Lord. [00:18:00] Hallelujah. [00:18:03] I won't go into the times. Lagnam. But there was a guy called Saul who's creating havoc with the church. What a mean, horrible man. [00:18:13] And suddenly he encounters Jesus on the road to Damascus. [00:18:18] And Jesus said, saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me for? He repented, didn't he? [00:18:31] He was blinded. [00:18:33] He had a powerful encounter with Jesus. [00:18:39] He had such an amazing conversion. [00:18:43] You would have thought he would need nothing else from God. He would have had. That experience alone would have been enough to have the most victorious, overcoming christian life for the rest of your life. What a conversion. [00:18:57] But what happens? [00:18:59] The Lord speaks to somebody called ananias, says, go and pray for Paul. [00:19:05] Do you think when Paul was not eating and drinking for three days after this incredible encounter, do you think he was a Christian then? [00:19:16] Do you think he's a believer in Jesus Christ? Right, that point. The answer is yes. [00:19:22] The answer is yes. And what happened? [00:19:27] It's truly remarkable. [00:19:31] It wasn't enough. [00:19:34] That experience for Paul was not enough. [00:19:41] More than he needed someone else. [00:19:45] He needed the person, the third person, the Holy Trinity. He needed the Holy Spirit. Come on. This wonderful, wonderful person. [00:19:58] And Ananias said in verse 17, went his way and entered the house, laying his hands on him. He said, brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road and came and sent me, that you may receive your sight. [00:20:14] And everyone say, and it's quite clear, and receive the Holy Spirit. Come on. [00:20:25] You know, Paul later wrote to the corinthian church and said, I speak in tongues more than you all every day. I speak in tongues every day. [00:20:35] We'll get on to that. [00:20:38] One more example, though. I'm going to give some testimony, and then we're going to pray. [00:20:43] There's a godly non jew man called Cornelius. [00:20:48] This is recording in acts, chapter ten. [00:20:52] And he had a vision. To cut a long story short, he made contact with Peter. He said, come to my house. I need you. [00:21:00] And what I love about what the Bible describes is that all his relatives were there and all his friends. [00:21:07] That mean of babies, boys, girls, men, women, uncles, aunties, cousins. We just had a lovely family get together recently on Friday. You've got every age there. It wasn't the sophisticated adults. Oh, yes, go and hear brother Peter. No, no. They didn't know what they were going to hear. All of them came the whole back. It's wonderful. [00:21:31] And verse 44, while Peter was still speaking the words, the Holy Spirit fell on them. Who heard the word, and those of the circumcision, who believed, were absolutely astonished. [00:21:48] Remember, on the day of Pentecost, no gentile was baptized in the Holy Ghost. [00:21:54] The first ten books, first ten chapters, rather, of acts, is all about jews. [00:22:01] This is the gentile baptism. [00:22:04] Think about it. And Peter, along with six other men, that's seven in all. [00:22:10] Remember, in jewish writing, seven is the number of completeness. So there were seven witnesses, so the Lord banned it down. Okay? [00:22:20] They spoke, poured out gentiles, for they also heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. [00:22:28] Wow. [00:22:30] Whole families got baptized in the Holy Spirit and were speaking in tongues. Can you imagine the joy in that house? [00:22:41] Can you imagine it? Come on. You know, in acts 19, Saul, who later became Paul, met a group of disciples, and they hadn't even heard of a holy spirit, so he prayed for them. They received the Holy Spirit, spoke with tongues. [00:22:59] Everybody in the book of acts who received the Holy Spirit, they spoke in tongues. [00:23:05] It's clear by either the author said exactly what happens, or it's by clear. By inference, that's what happened. [00:23:11] See, if you think about it, in Jerusalem's 120 people got baptized in the spirit speaking tongues. Hundreds, if not thousands, got the same in the city of Samaria, then Paul on his own on the road to Damascus, then entire family and friends in Caesarea, then a bunch of twelve men in Ephesus. Oh, hallelujah. [00:23:35] But I want to say something. Could you put up that slide, James, please? This is really important. [00:23:41] This is one corinthians, chapter 14, verse one. This needs to be the foundation of our church. We pursue love and desire spiritual gifts, especially that you prophesy. [00:23:53] It is so important in sometimes this imbalanced world and ministries that we understand. We pursue love. What is pursuing love? [00:24:06] The Holy Spirit is holy. We pursue holy lives. Leading holy lives is walking in love. What does the Bible says? Love does not rejoice in iniquity. Love rejoices in truth. [00:24:18] It begins, Paul begins to describe love. Why does he describe love? Right in the middle of the two chapters describing the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Why? Because if you step outside of love, you're in trouble. [00:24:33] You step outside of love, you begin to grieve the Holy Spirit. [00:24:38] How many of you have met weird christians? Yes. [00:24:42] Why? Because they're not doers of the word. They are not pursuing love. [00:24:48] You need to pursue love. You need to stay in that relationship with the Lord and then want to say, desire, spiritual gifts, what do you desire? [00:25:01] Do you desire more of him this morning? [00:25:04] More of him? [00:25:06] Do you desire it? [00:25:11] You know, when I first met Leslie, she used to take a little dog for a little walk in the park, and my house was near the park, and, boy, I would desire to see her. I would stare out the window. Is she there yet? Is she there? And then I'd accidentally be walking in the park. [00:25:31] Oh, fancy meeting you here. [00:25:37] It's a desire. Desire will move you. [00:25:41] Desire will cause an effect in you. You have no desire. It won't happen. Hallelujah. [00:25:51] Why tongues? [00:25:54] Don't you think it's very strange? [00:25:59] Why tongues? Well, first of all, it's God's wisdom, not yours. [00:26:07] I'm going to explain four things about tongues, and then I give you some testimony. [00:26:13] There's two places where we use tongues publicly. One is when the Holy Spirit anoints you, as he anoints you, and you speak a foreign language. I've experienced that. I was in a meeting and somebody spoke fluent Danish. They'd never been to Denmark, and they spoke fluent Danish. And that person next to me got wonderfully blessed. [00:26:37] Then tongues is a sign for an unbeliever. So when we speak in tongues, we have an interpretation. [00:26:42] So two puppet ministry of tongues. One is direct language, and the other one is the tongue, tongues of men and tongues of angels. Paul says, and then that can be interpreted. And then there's two personal types of tongue. One for prayer. What did Paul say? I will pray with my spirit. I will pray my understanding. I will sing with my spirit. I will sing with my understanding. There are two types of tongues for your private use every day. [00:27:10] Paul said, when you pray in tongues, you speak directly to God. Isn't that incredible? You can speak directly to God and he knows exactly what you're saying. [00:27:22] Isn't that amazing? What a gift. And when you speak in tongues, what happens? You build yourself up. Something changes on the inside of you, and we need tongues today more than ever. [00:27:36] See, tongues is a sign with interpretation, is a sign for unbelievers. [00:27:41] Hallelujah. [00:27:43] I could go on and on, but I'm not going to. Let me give you some testimony, then we're going to pray. [00:27:52] Get right back. [00:27:54] My uncle is age 83, a godly man. [00:28:03] Really godly man. [00:28:05] And I said to my uncle, Graham, Graham, do you speak in tongues? [00:28:10] He said, oh, no. He said, I don't think that's for me. I said, is that right, Uncle Graham? [00:28:18] I said, but you know, and I just explained. Everyone in the book of acts, they all spoke with tongues. [00:28:24] Everyone did. [00:28:26] To cut a long story short, 83 years old, he's speaking in tongues for the first time. [00:28:32] Amen. [00:28:37] What amazing. [00:28:39] One of my old friends, he's a right farmer from Somerset. He was. You call him Morris. [00:28:46] He was a dairy farmer. [00:28:49] Lovely guy. I was working with him when I was 50 years old. He was a wonderful baptist man. [00:28:56] Lovely Baptist man. In his 50s, he encountered the Holy Spirit. Him and his wife moved in the gifts of the Spirit until they passed away. They got totally on fire for the Lord. Their kids couldn't understand it. Their longtime friends couldn't understand it, but they met with the Holy Spirit. [00:29:20] Hallelujah. [00:29:22] Hallelujah. I'm trying to find something, and I'm going to talk to you about my dear friend Harry Westcott from Australia. [00:29:35] Harry Westcott is 89 now, and when he was 39, he had an amazing encounter with the Holy Spirit. [00:29:44] You got to remember about some australian men. I don't want to stereotype them, but sometimes they could be tat and sheilas. Everything's a sheila. [00:29:55] Hard men. He came from a farming background. Really tough men. [00:30:00] They kill anything on the farm. They skin it, they eat it. One of his best friends, Roger, could castrate 500 lambs with his teeth in a day. [00:30:11] That's true. I couldn't believe him? I asked him three times. I said, are you sure? Then we looked at his wife, Karen. He said, how'd you kiss that? Anyway, tough men. [00:30:21] Tough men. [00:30:23] Anyway, he felt the call of God and became a Methodist minister. [00:30:29] Wonderful. [00:30:32] Then he was assigned to a congregation called O'Connor assembly in Canberra, capital of Australia. [00:30:42] And he was quite sure that the gifts of the Holy Spirit were not for today. [00:30:49] In fact, he began to preach about them, that the gifts had gone. Tongues was the thing you don't do. He's preaching this from his pulpit. But he said to me, I spoke about two weeks ago, he said, you know, I had these really silly charismatic people in my church. That's what he called them. He said they decided to pray for me every day. So he said he had the mants there. Next door was the church. So every day at 06:00 in the morning, they'd all gathered to pray, about ten or 30 of them. They pray for the pastor. He felt quite indignant about this. He's quite a stubborn old mule, he was. [00:31:33] Anyway, so this went on for months and months and months. And one day harry went to pray at 06:00 in the morning, went in the church and nobody was there. Do you know what he said? Those weak, charismatic, I'm better than them. I don't need the Holy Spirit. Look at me, I'm tough. [00:32:01] So he went to go out the church door. That's what he said. [00:32:04] He couldn't open the church door. [00:32:07] He thought, that's strange. [00:32:10] He went to try another door. [00:32:13] He couldn't get out. [00:32:15] Suddenly he felt the pressure in the church building change, and he began to increase and increase, so much so he thought the windows were going to blow out and the roof was going to blow off. And suddenly he became aware of a presence, a person moving towards him. [00:32:38] And he realized it was Jesus. [00:32:43] And he fell on the floor in the middle of the church in a fetal position. And he said, jesus, I'm sorry. [00:32:52] I am so sorry. [00:32:54] And he wept like a baby. [00:32:58] He was terrified. He thought God was going to kill him, just like the apostle Paul. [00:33:06] It's a powerful thing when you encounter God and he's on the floor weeping and he manages to open his eyes and he sees a wall of light round him. [00:33:18] And Jesus comes up to him and he touches him physically. [00:33:24] And the power of God went through his body, changed his life. [00:33:32] Revival broke out in the church. [00:33:35] People were repenting of every sin. That's what happens when the Holy Spirit begins to operate. The last thing you want is sin in your life. [00:33:44] People were being saved all over Australia. It affected the entire nation of Australia. ABC cameras from the equivalent of the BBC in Australia came to visit Harry Westcore. What's going on in this church? [00:34:01] And last of all, I'll talk about me. [00:34:07] I was 14 years old and I was 14 years old, and I'd experienced a really difficult, dark time in my life. [00:34:27] And I had many reasons to hate God. [00:34:31] Many reasons. [00:34:34] And I was befriended by a widower and her sons. [00:34:40] And they invited me to go on a teens and 20s weekend at Hardon Court in Exmouth. [00:34:49] And you got to remember what I used to be like when I think about my younger self. [00:34:56] You know, I was really shy. [00:35:02] My face was full of acne. [00:35:07] I have spots all over my face. [00:35:09] I could hit the mirror if I squeezed a spot at least 2ft away. [00:35:17] I was hurt, I was damaged, and I was hungry for God. [00:35:27] I don't know why I was hungry. You. [00:35:30] The Bible says the grace of God is on our lives. [00:35:34] I don't know why. [00:35:36] So I was really shy. There was about 100 people at the very most. We were sat in a little hall, the little room in the conference center, and they said, does anybody want to receive the Holy Spirit? [00:35:51] I don't know why. I was the first at the front. [00:35:55] And I stood there really vulnerable, really hungry, and really desiring something to happen in my life at age 14. [00:36:09] They said, we're going to pray. They did a short prayer, and then they led us to the back of the hall and had those consultina doors. Remember those plastic ones? And I remember sitting in a circle. There must have been six people. No big music, no dramatic anything. We sat in a circle and this guy knelt down next to me. [00:36:33] He said, do you want to receive the Holy Spirit? [00:36:36] I said, yes. [00:36:39] And I don't really know what I was saying yes to, but I just said, yes. I want God in my life. I need the Lord in my life. [00:36:49] He started praying with me. He said, lord, fill him with the Holy Spirit. And I can remember saying, fill me, fill me, fill me, fill me. I was painting inside. I was so hungry and so desperate for something to change. I said, fill me, fill me. He tapped me on the shoulder and said, you're already filled my mind. Said, this guy's crazy. What does he mean? I don't feel nothing. [00:37:15] I'm desperate for God. [00:37:17] I need you. He said, thank the Lord. [00:37:21] So I said, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, Karaburusha baba. And I just said something that wasn't in English. [00:37:32] This little boy in Exmouth, in Devon, the Holy Spirit fell on me. [00:37:41] I could no longer sit up. I went whack on my back. [00:37:47] The power of God, the presence of the Holy Spirit, the only way I could describe it, it's like being under the most powerful waterfall of love and joy. [00:37:56] The Holy Spirit was ministering peace and healing to me and I was praying in tongues and it just was flowing out of me. It wasn't flowing out of my head, it was flowing out of me. And I was encountering something that science can't explain. [00:38:16] I was encountering the person of the Holy Spirit. Let me tell you today, if you're thirsty, he gives you a drink. If you're hungry, he will feed you. And he fed me that day. [00:38:32] And that was the beginning of a process of the Lord revealing his grace of mercy to me and ministering through me. [00:38:42] I've experienced many unusual things and words of knowledge, words of wisdom. The Holy Spirit spoken to me about impending danger, about one of my sons. [00:38:53] The Holy Spirit is the person. [00:38:57] You can grieve him this morning, you can ignore him this morning, but he won't go away. [00:39:03] David said, if I go to the ends of the earth, there you are. If I go down to the depths, there you are. The Holy Spirit will draw you this morning. If you're hungry, the holy spirit, as we're finishing off now, you know you can only receive the Holy Spirit if you're born again. If you give your life to the Lord, if you are here this morning and you've not given your life to Jesus Christ, give your life to Jesus Christ. It's very simple. [00:39:40] If you believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sins, if you believe in your heart that Jesus died on the cross, was buried, and rose again on the third day, if you believe that in your heart, if you believe that Jesus is the son of God today you can be saved. [00:40:03] Do you believe that? Let's all bow our heads. [00:40:07] If that's you this morning, you say, I believe those things. I want to become a Christian. I want to give my life to Jesus Christ and start an amazing journey in believing you will have eternal life. This life, my friend, is very, very short and it flashes by. [00:40:28] If you want Jesus Christ to be Lord of your life, just raise your hands and we will get somebody to pray with. Thank you. Anyone else? Thank you. Thank you. [00:40:38] Thank you. [00:40:40] Now, those guys who've raised your hand, we're going to pray, and then we're going to pray with you after as well. [00:40:48] So why don't you join these three people. I want everybody to say this prayer out loud, okay? Every one of you, all of us, the whole congregation, say after me. Dear Lord Jesus, I thank you. [00:41:02] You died for my sins. [00:41:06] You were hung on a cross. [00:41:09] You died and were buried. [00:41:13] And you rose again on the third day. [00:41:18] I believe, Jesus, that you are the son of God. [00:41:24] So come into my life this day. [00:41:28] I repent of my sins, and I ask you to fill my life with your grace and mercy. [00:41:39] In Jesus precious name. [00:41:43] I am forgiven. [00:41:45] I am your child. [00:41:48] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. [00:41:54] Now. [00:41:57] Hallelujah. Just going to pray. [00:42:03] Went to start my son's car this morning. He hadn't driven it for a long time. And the battery was flat. [00:42:10] The car was there to ignition. But nothing the Bible says of the Holy Spirit being filled with the Holy Spirit. Keep in step with the Holy Spirit sometimes. [00:42:25] I've been in many situations in my life where my battery is flat. [00:42:30] I'm flat as a pancake. [00:42:35] And the Holy Spirit wants to renew his presence in your life. [00:42:41] Renew you. Some of you haven't spoken in tongues. [00:42:49] Sorry, guys, just stay where you are. The music team, just stay where. Some of you haven't spoken in tongues. [00:42:56] And the Holy Spirit wants to release you in those tongues. Like my uncle, age 83. Why wait till you're 83? [00:43:03] Some of you have been told tongues aren't for today, but they are. It's too late. I've got it. [00:43:12] Don't ask me. It don't exist. I've got it. [00:43:18] And the Lord, the Holy Spirit, wants every believer to be more intimate with the Holy Spirit. [00:43:28] And that comes with praying in the spirit as well as other things. It's a wonderful gift he's given the body of Christ. [00:43:38] Holy Spirit. Let's just pray. [00:43:41] Thank you, Holy Spirit. [00:43:43] Holy Spirit. [00:43:47] Holy Spirit. May this be a watershed moment for this church. [00:43:52] May this church be a church that yields to the Holy Spirit. [00:43:58] May be a church that we flow in the gifts of the Spirit. [00:44:02] May it be a church where we honor the presence of the Holy Spirit. [00:44:10] If you've not been baptized in the Holy Spirit, today is your day. [00:44:18] If you've let that gift slip, today is the day to restore it. [00:44:24] The precious Holy Spirit. [00:44:29] What I want us to do, those of you just say, Lord, Holy Spirit, I want to yield to you. I want to pray in tongues. [00:44:40] I want to receive what you want from me. [00:44:43] Those of you who've got a flat battery, you need to be flowing in the Holy Spirit. [00:44:49] If that's you this morning and you're hungry. Just stand to your feet where you are. Just stand up and we're going to receive. Thank you, Jesus. Just stand up. [00:44:59] Just stand where you are. [00:45:02] Just stand. [00:45:05] Just stand. [00:45:07] Just wait on the Lord. We just stand before you, Lord. [00:45:11] Renew us, Lord. Renew us. [00:45:15] Renew us. [00:45:17] Just respond to the Holy Spirit, saints. Respond to his voice. [00:45:23] Thank you, Jesus.
